Philosophy
In dentistry, more treatment is not better treatment. I always strive to provide the least invasive solution whenever possible.
I believe that periodontal surgery is usually unnecessary. Instead I advocate conservative treatment for gum disease which may include scaling, low dose doxycycline, and water pick use.
I stress the importance of proper occlusion. Occlusion is the way the teeth contact each other when we bite. A bad bite can cause abnormal wear of the teeth, TMJ, headaches and sleep apnea. I assess the occlusion of every patient and correct it when necessary.
I keep up to date with the dental literature and provide evidence-based care.
